NT Shelter will host a FREE informative webinar on 1 September 2021, exploring the key questions:
What are registered community housing providers and how do they work?
Why do they matter when it comes to social and affordable housing?
At this workshop, experts from across Australia’s registered community housing sector explain the structure, advantages and benefits that CHPs provide in property and tenancy management as well as their key role in providing more social and affordable housing for low to moderate income earners and key workers. This informative session will answer your questions about the CHP business model, how additional funds from the Commonwealth and elsewhere can be secured for the NT, and access to low-cost finance and tax exemptions through non-profit, charitable status. It will explain the modus operandi of CHPs – their business ethos and track record.
This workshop is suitable for those employed in the social and affordable housing sector, Government, finance, property and construction sector, and anyone with an interest in understanding why community housing is now considered a vital part of the solution to the Territory’s current housing crisis.
