‘We’ve got a service system that is massively overstretched’

In this recent ABC News article, Push for federal government to fund more Youth Foyers to address homelessness across Australia, Regional Coordinator Central Australia, Annie Taylor, provides comment on the Northern Territory’s overstretched housing and homelessness service providers.

The Northern Territory has 12X the national average in homelessness and only receives 1.3 per cent of funding from the Commonwealth Government to respond those experiencing or at risk of homelessness, a key contributor to the unmet needs of many people in the Territory.
