We, the undersigned organisations working across homelessness and its intersections in the Northern Territory, are
calling on the Northern Territory Government to pause the closure of the YiSSA short-stay accommodation facility at
Batten Road on 11 October and allow a longer, managed transition period.

We recognise the work that has occurred over recent months to find alternative arrangements for people currently
living at YiSSA, including the establishment of accommodation at Batchelor. We also recognise that the
circumstances surrounding the Batten Road site are complex.
