Why Join Us?

As the peak body for affordable housing and homelessness in the NT, we develop policy solutions and regularly advocate to government on a range of matters. Our members contribute to our collective policy and advocacy work, receive priority access to NT Shelter events and activities and work to improve awareness about the extent and nature of homelessness in the Northern Territory. Membership is open to all organisations and individuals who support NT Shelter’s vision and values.

Advocate

For improved housing outcomes for homeless, disadvantaged and low-income Territorians.

Contribute

Have input into the development of policy and advocacy relating to housing affordability and homelessness in the NT

Access

Get priority access to NT Shelter events and activities

Collective Voice

Be a part of the collective voice promoting the right of ALL people of the Northern Territory to affordable and appropriate housing

Policy

Ensure that government policy and strategy is informed by the sector and those with lived experiences

Improve awareness about the extent and nature of homelessness in the Northern Territory

NT Shelter is the peak body for affordable housing and homelessness in the Northern Territory. We engage in policy development, advocacy and sector consultation with members and stakeholders across the Northern Territory in the pursuit of our vision— Affordable and Appropriate Housing for ALL People of the Northern Territory.

Membership is open to all organisations and individuals who support NT Shelter’s Vision and Mission.
